Urban Lightscape
Exposure correction and local lighting adjustments.
Urban Lightscape is a standalone application and Photoshop plugin for exposure correction and local lighting adjustments. It uses a click-and-drag interface to place control points and adjustment levels, which are interpolated across the image using a Gaussian process sensitive to sharp edges. It is used to balance foreground and background lighting or to draw attention to a subject, often creating a more natural feel than high dynamic range (HDR) effects.
Urban Lightscape was originally released in 2010. It is no longer actively developed. As of 2022, however, it is still packaged with a number of Linux distributions including openSUSE and Mageia.
The source code for the open source Linux version is available.
